Shamanic drum workshop: drum your own calm

Do you need deep relaxation and want to find your way back to yourself? During a shamanic drum workshop at Huize Wulvemote in Torhout, you'll learn how the resonance of the drum takes you out of your head and back into your body. The vibration of the drum helps your body's energy flow freely again, releases blockages, and lets go of conscious or subconscious emotions.

Whether you want to take part in drum circles, guide trance journeys, or simply come "home" to yourself after a busy day: a shamanic drum is a powerful instrument for healing and meditation. It brings calm to those who need it, even in the deepest phases of life.

Make your own drum in one day

How special is it to make your own drum, alone or together with a loved one? In small groups of up to five people, we give all the personal attention needed to create an instrument fully tuned to you.

What can you expect?

• Personal guidance during the tensioning process.
• A day full of connection with the natural elements.

How does the workshop day go?

The day begins with a connection circle in which we welcome ourselves and the natural elements. After making initial contact with your chosen hide, we connect it to the frame. After a shared lunch, we tension the drum further and make the drumstick.

We close the day with a powerful initiation ritual. Here we call upon the powers of the four directions, mother earth and the universe. Your drum is thus initiated and fully attuned to your energy, after which this faithful companion goes home with you to continue supporting your path.

Rates and sizes

Prices are all-inclusive (guidance, materials and lunch). You choose beforehand between a standard hide or the specific power of a Scottish Highlander.
